Sothys was the most beautiful and luminous star of them all, surpassing all immortal beauty, even the Goddess Venus. The great God, Saturn, discovered the innocent and precious star. Marveled by her appearance, he was entrapped by her passion and madly enveloped with her unique beauty.
Venus, Saturn’s lover, filled with fires of jealousy and out of vengeance, destroyed the delicate and innocent Sothys. For many centuries, the Universe was deprived of the luminous star. The saddened Saturn filled the lands with his tears for many days. Legend says that it then rained for 40 days and 40 nights.
In response to Saturn’s beloved loss, the brilliant Sothys returned as a new star reigning over the Universe. It is the name that the Sothys group boasts today, evoking eternal beauty and radiance.
Family
Sothys‘ strengths lies in the fact that for us, beauty is more than a business, it is in our family roots. Being a family business, Sothys has inherited a long tradition of quality and excellence, based on human values and French production. The company was started by Bernard Mas in France, and today, the new generation of the family, sons Christian and Frederic, still oversee the company.
The administrative headquarters, laboratories and production site are still located in Brive-la-Gaillarde at the heart of the Corrèze region, while the prestigious address on the Faubourg Saint-Honoré in Paris has represented the beauty institute from the beginning.

Our vision of natural cosmetics became a reality with Les Jardins Sothys™, our own exceptional botanical garden located in a preserved area in the heart of France.
