What are you most proud of ? I am most proud of the relationship I have with my husband. He is my best friend and my cheerleader.

If you weren’t an aesthetician, what would you want to do with your life? If I weren’t an aesthetician, I’d be a politician and try to improve the quality of life of American women and children.

If you suddenly found $1,000 spare cash, how would you spend it ? If I suddenly found $1,000 extra cash I would give it to “The Red Cross”. This organization helps so many people in times of natural disaster.

When you wake up each morning, what makes you want to work ? I love to go to work. It is not work to me. I go to see and care for my friends. Many of my clients have been with me 15, 20, even 25 years. My clients bring their friends and family to me. Most of them came to me with acne, rosacea, or acne rosacea and I know that we must keep it under control for them so that they can focus themselves in more meaningful matters. I understand that they look forward to coming; it’s their rest, their mini-vacation. So it is easy for me to look forward to helping my clients every day.

How many hours have you dedicated to continuing education since you’ve graduated ? Continuing education is so very important to me. At one time I fell into a rut, doing the same routine. To keep yourself involved in education helps you to grow forward as a person and as a professional. I dedicate about 40 hours a year to advanced education. Our field is ever changing and we must challenge ourselves to grow. Education, research, and development are good for the soul.

What’s your favorite treatment to give/receive ? My favorite treatment to give or receive is LED Light Therapy. It amazes me every day. I am compiling my third book about LED because it is so incredible. It makes the skin look softer, smoother, and incredible.

If you could only have one product in your bathroom, what would it be ? If I could only have one product it would be sunscreen. SPF30. An ounce of prevention is truly worth a pound of cure.

What’s the one thing you didn’t learn in school that you wish you did ? I truly wish I had studied a little more psychology. We are in a people business. As I have learned more of the nature of humans, what they do as opposed to what they tell you; I have been much happier in my business.
